Axelar, a cross-chain communication platform, has announced a cooperation with Polygon in order to give Polygon Supernets safe cross-chain interactions. According to the business, Axelar’s alliance with Polygon is anticipated to act as the foundation for an internet made up of Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) blockchains powered by Polygon Edge.

Sergey Gorbunov, co-founder, and CEO of Axelar, reportedly commented on the partnership’s significance for the Web3.0 ecosystem owing to the industry’s requirement to grow from thousands to millions of developers.

Application-specific chains offer essential support for that phase, but they pose significant difficulties in the absence of interoperability. Developers may now build on chains that make it simple for them to achieve their objectives, with no restrictions on liquidity or user onboarding, thanks to Axelar and Polygon Supernets. Developers working on the Ethereum ecosystem will now have access to the users and services on the several linked chains that Axelar has integrated. As a result, developers are free to create DApps that can draw hundreds of millions of users, according to Gorbunov.

Gorbunov emphasized that the partnership with Polygon is anticipated to be a chance to share the vision of a cross-chain future with a reported developing community of builders on Polygon Supernets and to provide support to applications and blockchains built there based on information provided by Cointelegraph. Gorbunov added that Polygon users would gain from the alliance since they would be able to connect with features, resources, and user networks everywhere on Web3.0.

The main winners of this alliance, according to Gorbunov, are anticipated to be new users who can sign up for the dApps using their existing tokens, wallets, and Web 3.0 identities without having to bridge or shift across other interfaces. Axelar and Mysten Labs, the infrastructure provider for the Sui blockchain, teamed up in September 2022 to enable cross-chain connectivity for developers via General Message Passing and to enhance the possibility of a so-called “super dApp.”
