In the past, the corporation allegedly introduced items for cricket such as the video game “ICC Crictos” and the “FanCraze Flash” (an own-to-play experience). It was stated that holding these cards would enable fans to connect with their preferred IPL teams and allow them to develop collections and engage in card trading, among other things.

Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow SuperGiants will join FanCraze’s list of partners, which already includes the International Cricket Council, the Asian Cricket Council, Cricket West Indies, Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, and 30 other cricketers, as part of this launch.

The company secured $100 million in a fundraising round in March of this year, which was headed by private equity and venture capital firm Insight Partners and included B Capital. It also had a $17.4 million seed round in 2021, which was headed by Tiger Global. Coatue, Sequoia India, and Dapper Labs were among the participants in that one.

The company’s CEO, Anshum Bhambri, stated: “We continue to lead advances in sports-based digital collectibles, expanding our cricket market. We’re thrilled to work with the teams to introduce the first digital collectibles for Indian cricket. This month, he noted, will see the launch of the first edition of the cards.
