BMW, a German automaker, has partnered with Coinweb and BNB Chain in order to integrate blockchain into its daily operations and create a blockchain loyalty program for its Thai customers, according to Cointelegraph.

The Cointelegraph reports that the workflow at BMW will use blockchain in two phases. According to reports, the decentralized technology will reportedly be integrated into BMW’s everyday operations in the first phase, and Coinweb will create a tailored Web 3.0 application for BMW’s customer loyalty program in the second phase.

According to information provided by Cointelegraph, owners will be able to use their rewards to purchase products and services from the BMW ecosystem as well as from other associated vendors. For the purpose of completing transactions, it is anticipated that Binance’s native BNB Chain would be accessible.

Customers will receive loyalty points as a reward and be able to make purchases elsewhere in the ecosystem. Though initially, our relationship is for Thailand, we expect that there will be a future worldwide rollout, according to Toby Gilbert, CEO of Coinweb.

Additionally, according to Bjorn Antonsson, leasing director at BMW Thailand, the company has been closely monitoring decentralized technology-based advances and their many applications over the years, according to Cointelegraph. Antonsson anticipated that the integration of everyday operations and blockchain will eliminate manual paperwork and advance the business. Additionally, non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and cryptocurrency coins have been used as promotional tools by the German automaker Mercedes.
