Just one month after the acrimonious collapse of Sam Bankman-FTX Fried’s exchange and 130 connected firms, a former top employee is apparently searching for investors to bankroll the launch of a cryptocurrency venture, according to Cointelegraph.
The Information claims that former FTX US president Brett Harrison is looking for $6 million in investment to launch a firm that would develop bitcoin trading software for big investors. Harrison’s investment round would be based on a valuation of $60 million.

Harrison officially resigned from his position as president of FTX.US on September 27 more than a month before FTX’s demise. After that, he changed to a consulting role. The merchant wasn’t immediately accused of having a direct role in the theft of users’ money as a result.
FTX Japan, one of the 134 companies participating in the bankruptcy proceedings of FTX, has been working on a plan to restore customer cash.
On December 1, FTX Japan declared that the user assets were distinct from the exchange’s assets, as required under Japanese law. According to FTX Japan, resuming withdrawals is its top priority right now, and it intends to do so before the end of 2022, Cointelegraph added.
