According to Cointelegraph, Oscar-winning actor Sir Anthony Hopkins sold out of his first non-fungible token (NFT) collection, “The Eternal Collection,” in under 10 minutes.
According to Cointelegraph, the collection, which contains 1,000 original works of cinematic art based on various performances during the actor’s career, was developed in partnership with Orange Comet Inc, an NFT, and Web3.0-based firm. In the collection’s description on OpenSea, the actor’s many character archetypes from his filmography were interpreted.
According to Cointelegraph, illustrations and animations with titles like “The Jester,” “The Lover,” “The Ruler,” “The Rebel,” “The Giver,” and “The Eternal” depict the different iconic roles that the actor has portrayed during his Hollywood career. Although the newspaper was unable to verify the allegation, Orange Comet Inc. claimed that the collection’s sale was apparently the quickest in OpenSea’s history. Hopkins even thanked the NFT community in a tweet that also expressed his surprise at the sell-out of his collection.
Additionally, Cointelegraph pointed out that the 990 one-of-a-kind unique NFT images contain a variety of randomly chosen utilities, such as receiving personalized NFTs with a message from Hopkins airdropped into their wallets or receiving autographed dreamscapes art books containing the actor’s paintings and drawings. The group even tweeted that it was the NFT collection that was selling the quickest on OpenSea.
