The Alchemy Supernode crypto API is currently made available to developers by Astar Network, the first Polkadot ecosystem project.
Blockchain development platform Alchemy and Astar Network, a crypto bridge linking layer-1 blockchains like Ethereum and Cosmos with the Polkadot ecosystem, have announced cooperation.
As a result of the partnership, it will be simpler for developers to use Alchemy’s ‘Supernode’, a cryptocurrency API for Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, and the recently introduced Solana (dApps). Alchemy Supernode facilitates greater data analytics and, as a result, improved the scalability of the networks by allowing nodes to load massive volumes of data.
According to a statement the Astar team provided with Decrypt, developers may now make use of functionalities that were previously unavailable on Polkadot.
The “Build2Earn” dApp staking project for Astar and its sibling network, Shiden, which allows users to choose which dApps they want to support with their tokens, will also be incorporated into the Alchemy alliance.

With the Build2Earn model, developers who receive payment for their work share a percentage of the earnings from each block with stakeholders who support a dApp. This creates a powerful incentive for developers.
According to Valeria Kholostenko, CMO of Astar, “the concept is to distribute basic income for developers based on their success from the block rewards.” It is one of Astar’s distinctive features. In our ecosystem, dApp developers may make smart contracts and earn tokens because it is already available on the mainnet.
Astar Network, based in Japan and formerly known as Plasm Network, introduced its smart contract system in 2021 and is compatible with both WebAssembly and the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) (WASM).
Astar now functions as a Polkadot parachain, making it possible for developers to swiftly move smart contracts and dApps from external networks so they may coexist and interact.
A data-sharing network called Polkadot is intended to link several blockchains and allow them to communicate with one another. The Polkadot Network is supported by parachains, which are autonomous blockchains that may communicate with one other and with the main Polkadot network.
